Kadra Dam

Kadra Dam is located at Karwar in Uttara Kannada district. 40 km from Karawa. The dam was completely constructed in 1997. 2313 m long, 40.5 m high, stores 13.74 TMC of water. This dam holds the water of river Kali and generates electricity. It is under the Government of Karnataka. It is the last dam built across the river Kali. When you come here, you can see the surrounding trees. This dange silver can be viewed from 8 am to 5 pm. There are 2 ways to go to this dam, one can go up and down through the road, only when there is a lot of water, the gate across the dam is removed and the water is released. Buses can go here through private vehicles.
