Bhagandala is about 33 km from Madikeri district headquarters. Bhagamandal, the source of Cauvery, is 8 km by road and 5 km by foot from Talakavery. m away. Kaveri reaches Bhagamandala as Guptagamini and joins 2 tributaries Kannike and Sujyoti which is called Triveni Sangam. For this reason Bhagamandala is also known as Dakshina Prayag Kshetra.
