Karinjeshwara temple

This temple can be found in Kavalpadur village of Bantwala taluk of Karinjeshwar Dakshina Kannada district. It is believed that the lake at the bottom of the rock was dug by Bhima. 500 steps have to be climbed to reach the Shiva temple at the top of the hill. It is 38 km from Mangalore. 3 There are 3 temples on the hill. Parvati, Ganesha and Karinjeshwara. At the top of this hill one can have a beautiful nature darshan. Many monkeys are seen here. It is located at the base of Gadhatirtha Hill.
