Bird life Sanctuary

Atthiveri bird sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in Mundagodu taluk of Uttara Kannada district. It is common for hundreds of birds from the country and abroad to migrate to this bird sanctuary in the months of October and November and breed and return in the month of March and April. This bird sanctuary also has an area of 22 sq km. Many different species of birds migrate here. There is a gate to go inside the Atthiveri bird sanctuary. If you go ahead from this gate, you can see the bird sanctuary and the surroundings are full of trees. There are benches for sitting. This clean bird sanctuary is a place where you can listen to the chirping of the birds and watch the birds. Moving on, the birds nest in the tree in the middle of the water. There is a lodge here where tourists can stay for bird watching and different species of trees. It is advisable to come in the month of November-December and there is also a canteen facility here.
