Tilmati Beach

Tilmati Beach is located in a village in Uttara Kannada. This beach is the only black sand beach in Karnataka. This Tilmati Beach is about 13 Km from Karwar. The sides of this beach are lined with granite stones and during the rainy season, the water rushes and crashes into these stones. It is believed that the sands are black because of this. Tourists from abroad come to Tilmati Beach. You can go to this bay by trucking. Conch shells can be found next to these beach rocks. Fishing is done in this bay.
