Gadayikallu

This huge boulder can be found in Belthangadi Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District. It is 1788 feet above sea level. To climb it, one has to climb 2800 steps. Reaching the top of this rock is an adventure in itself. A cannon can be seen on the rock. History tells us that Tipu Sultan used it against the British. At the top of the rock is a large pond. This pond does not dry up during summer. It is a favorite place for trekkers. A wonderful place to watch sunrise and sunset.
